REGGIO EMILIA ITALY

This beautiful two-day wedding in Reggio Emilia was the perfect fusion of Swiss sophistication and Italian heritage. The couple, both from Switzerland, chose this charming region in Emilia-Romagna as a tribute to the bride’s family roots. Surrounded by vineyards and rolling hills, the celebration began with a welcome dinner at Il Cavazzone, where guests were treated to traditional Italian food, rustic décor, and a warm, joyful atmosphere that set the tone for the days to follow.

The wedding day itself started with a heartfelt church ceremony, followed by an elegant celebration at Venturini Baldini, a historic estate and organic winery renowned for its sparkling wines—especially its classic Lambrusco—and its stunning views over the Emilian countryside. Guests enjoyed a lively aperitivo featuring typical Italian delicacies, a fresh mozzarella station, flowing Aperol, and the unforgettable sounds of Ciribiribin Band from Rome, whose Italian swing music created a vibrant, joyful energy.

As the sun set, dinner was served under the stars. Long tables were beautifully styled with romantic details while the band continued to play into the night, filling the estate with music, laughter, and celebration. The bride, who works in PR for Estée Lauder in Zürich, designed the entire concept herself—every detail reflecting her refined sense of style and her deep connection to the place and its traditions.

While Tuscany, Lake Como, and Puglia often steal the spotlight for destination weddings in Italy, Reggio Emilia remains a hidden gem—rich in beauty, culture, and authenticity. With its breathtaking landscapes and historic venues, it offers an unforgettable setting for couples seeking something truly personal and unique.
